Like most Transalp and XLV 750 owners I always found that the front brake on my bike was a bit weak and I have finally got around to improving it. I used an accessory disc for a Honda NTV 650 Revere which has the same center pattern as the Transalp and a 40mm bigger diameter, 316mm vs 276mm. The caliper then needed to be spaced out to suit by making an alloy bracket. To make a bracket with the standard caliper was going to be very complicated so I used a caliper from a Kawasaki GPZ 500S, it is a single sided dual piston caliper the same as the standard Transalp caliper but its mounting holes made making the bracket a lot easier.
The front brake is now a lot more powerfull from high speed and doesn't fade with repeated use but still has the same lovely feel as the standard brake.
