Honda V-Twin Adventurers Australia
Cameron's Corner Gettogether
June 2000

25 Adventure addicted riders met at Cameron's Corner on the 13th June 2000. Most of the riders were on Honda V-Twin Adventure bikes but there was a smattering of other makes. Riders came fom NSW, Victoria, Qld, South Australia and even a couple of XLV750 riders from WA who had come the hard way via the Warburton Road and Uluru..

A group rode from Sydney via Condobolin, Nymagee and Cobar to Wanaaring where we met up with a group from northern NSW and Mac and his Varadero as the lone Queensland attendee, unfortuneately we lost Dean and his XLV750 when its gearbox stopped working between Nymagee and Cobar.Mac and Rob, the 2 Varadero riders had some problems in the deep sand as the "Dero" is a very big and heavy bike !!. A group of transalp riders from Victoria came via Menidee Lakes, Broken Hill and the Silver City Highway.

Most riders met at Tibooburra, where we had a great night at the Family Hotel. Old friends met once again and many new friends were made as had a great meal and a few drinks. Unfortuneately we lost another XLV when Jeff had a big fall riding in the dark and bent his bike and his arm.Rob decided to head home from Tibooburra as the Dero was to much trouble in the sand so he headed home via the Opal mining town of White Cliffs where everyone lives underground even the motel.
